Vision Statement
Pax Christi Senior High Formation Ministry invites young people and their families into a relationship with Jesus Christ and the parish community that results in Christian discipleship, a sense of belonging, and vocational identity.
Pax Christi's Sr. High Formation program incorporates various learning styles to help each participant get the most out of her/his faith learning experience! The program is flexible for the individual learner, but calls one to accountability and responsibility to the community. It is highly individualized, yet it draws the learner into a community of people with similar interests. The program seeks to engage the heart, body, and soul for a truly transformative experience of faith. Click here for more on Interest-Based Learning.
How it works
- SEASONAL: We have divided the faith formation year into two seasons: Fall (September - December) and Spring (January - May). Click here for more info.
- THE GATHERING: Each season includes an event we call The Gathering - a gathering of all the Sr. High participants in the program, the adult leaders, parents, friends, and more!
- FICs: During each season, a variety of Faith•Interest Connectors (FIC) are offered. FICs are short-term courses that connect faith education to an interest-subject, such as basketball, cooking, guitar lessons, running, scripture study, nature/creation, and so on. FICs are led by adults in the Pax Christi community who have a particular expertise or interest in the subject. They work with a partner to connect faith learning to the passions and interests shared by the group. Click here for more info on our FICs.
